We acknowledge the indigenous people of Mni Sota Makoce (Minnesota).

Iron Butterfly Flower Farm sits on the traditional homeland of the Wahpeton tribe who were part of the Santee or Eastern Dakota Tribe within The Seven Council Fires.  Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, and other indigineous people also lived in this area.  (nativegov.org)

We honor their past, present, and future here.  We recognize this land as sacred and the creatures our kin.

We are returning native plants to this land, including sweetgrass and prairie sage, as one small act of care for what was here long before us.
